Those in attendance will have the opportunity to listen to panelists, view presentations and ask questions about the regulation of urban drilling.

FWLNA welcomes Zac Trahan, director of Texas Campaign for the Environment’s DFW office, to discuss local impacts of the recent Texas Legislature.

There will also be an overview of the legislative session as a whole and its impact on cities and neighborhoods.

The Dallas Green Alliance, a green political action committee, is hosting a fundraiser. The group is working to get two more environmentally friendly city council members elected.

For years Jeff Williams has been involved in numerous area projects. Of special interest to ACC members are his roles in the River Legacy Foundation and the Johnson Creek Corridor Plan. In Arlington environmental issues rarely figure into the races, so we really don't know how green our candidates are. Here's a chance to learn about matters that concern all of us. In the interest of fairness, we also invited Mayor Bob Cluck, but he had a schedule conflict and won't be able to attend.

Have you committed a protest act of any kind against fracking in the Barnett Shale region? If so, you are invited to participate in the first (maybe only) group photo of Barnett Shale fractivist warriors. The event will take place during Prairie Fest. Gather under the Prairie Fest banner on the sidewalk near the street at 4 p.m. Come early and enjoy the fest. This event is sponsored by FWCANDO
