Farmers Suicide: A Call to India's Conscience and how you can help. A talk by Kiran Vissa. He will speak about why the farmers are in deep stress, the various initiatives to address the crisis and more importantly how you can help the situation.

The Coalition's Urban Agriculture Action Team invites to you to come network and learn with other urban gardeners and farmers. Seeding Dallas offers many topics for a wide range of gardening skills. Local experts will share what they have learned growing food and managing gardens in North Texas.

Topics include community garden management, soil building, planting for diversity, seasonal planting, organic pest management, composting, rainwater harvesting, vermicomposting, and keeping chickens.

Join BRIT and Kim Martin and Laurie Bostic of Barking Cat Farm and learn the basic principles of permaculture. $25.

Vegetarian themed festival featuring food, speakers, cooking demos and vendors. Theme this year is: “Rock Your Health.”  The keynote speaker will be Aph Ko, a black vegan feminist theorist and independent digital media producer. Aph is the founder of Black Vegans Rock, a digital project devoted to spotlighting individual Black vegans. Free.
