Join in as we delve into the role sustainability has in the built environment. Gray to Green Infrastructure: Applying sustainability to infrastructure – the practice of incorporating natural resources such as vegetation in the capture/reduction of stormwater runoff into design and construction projects in place of traditional hard infrastructure such as pipes and concrete channels to collect and convey the stormwater. This sustainable approach to design reduces waste, saves money, and promotes better environmental quality.
