City of Fort Worth: Environmental Excellence Awards Call for Entries - Deadline Extended

The City of Fort Worth has issued a call for entries for the 2021 Environmental Excellence Awards.

Innovation Awards will be presented in the areas of:

    •    Water Use & Process Improvement

    •    Water Conservation

    •    Stormwater 

    •    Air Quality

    •    Land Redevelopment

    •    Solid Waste Reduction & Recycling

Recognition Awards include:

    •    Fort Worth Friendly Landscapes

    •    SmartWater Award

Southwest Nature Preserve: Past Climate: Putting the Puzzle Together - Arlington

Angela Kline-Osen, PhD will discuss how scientists use geology, paleontology, biology and models to help determine possible climatic conditions of the past. Her focus will be on Texas, particularly the DFW region, but will also expand a bit about the Permian-Triassic period (about 250 million years ago) as that is where much of her research has been concentrated.

Dr. Osen is a Professor at Tarrant County College where she regularly teaches Earth Science and Oceanography. Read more on the link below
