Parmenter owns over a dozen office buildings that have achieved LEED EBOM certification and is proud to showcase its commitment to sustainability. Rambler Park is also certified under the BOMA 360® and Energy Star® programs.

Rambler Park has been awarded the first LEED Platinum for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance certification in Dallas and North Texas. Women in the Environment hosts a film screening of Bat City USA.

Bat City USA tells how a giant colony of bats‚”invaded” an Austin bridge and were met with fear and hostility by residents. When the city threatened to exterminate the bats, a zealous conservationist named Merlin Tuttle stepped in and fought to save them.

Film will be followed by discussion about bats and other pollinators. Bring your lunch and refreshments. Free.

The University of Texas at Arlington Institute of Urban Studies and American Planning Association – Midwest Texas Chapter will host the Climate Resilience and Adaptation Symposium. This one-day symposium will bring North Texas stakeholders together to identify and assess the shared challenges we face given the specific impacts of climate change in our region. The symposium provides a forum for learning about climate vulnerability in the region and sharing best practices in the area of resilience planning here in Texas and throughout the U.S. Most importantly, it provides a space for identifying collaborative solutions for adaptation.

Presenter: ONCOR

ONCOR, the state's largest regulated utility, just stepped forward with an audacious plan to invest $5.2B to install 5,000 MW of batteries on the Texas Grid. This emerging technology will help improve reliability, boost renewable and maybe lower monthly electric bills. If this project goes through it will be the largest project of its kind in the world.
