The Green Source DFW Awards returns in person — and in a new venue in the West!

The annual green awards gala, hosted by Green Source DFW and its parent nonprofit the Memnosyne Institute, will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

GSDFW AwardThe GSDFW Awards were founded in 2012. Since 2016, the event has been held at the Dallas Arboretum, excluding the last two years when the awards were held virtually.

This year, the gala moves to the 110-acre city-owned park in Fort Worth — the oldest botanic garden in the state.

Cowtown’s green jewel sits in the Cultural District, home to world class museums, including the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

In addition, the Botanic Garden is located next door to an internationally recognized “plant museum,” the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, which took over management of the Garden in 2020.

Tickets for the awards cost $25. Event-goers can peruse the gardens before the awards if they purchase a bundled ticket for $35.

Event-goers can also purchase tickets to an outdoor holiday exhibit hosted by FWBG and BRIT called Lightscape, featuring a one-mile illuminated path winding through the Garden. Entry to Lightscape requires an additional ticket, which must be purchased in advance online for $18-$28.
