Star parties are being held at three locations in Tarrant County to bring attention to light pollution: The Tandy Hills Natural Area in Fort Worth (http://tandyhills.org), the Fort Worth Prairie Park (https://www.facebook.com/savetheprairie) and the Bob Jones Nature Center in Southlake  (http://www.bjnc.org). SMU hosts Engineering and Humanity Week April 6-12. This year's theme is Water: Ripple Effects. The focus will be on the positive ripple effects people can inspire when confronted with current challenges. Opportunities to meet British adventurer and ecologist David de Rothschild and tour the PLASTIKI and hear hip-hop artist Emmanuel Jal, a humanitarian advocate for social justice and human rights.

Free three-day event featuring screenings at six venues with almost 40 documentaries and children’s films. Films focus on issues such as food, water, natural resources and people making a difference.
