Presentation on Soil Biology and Native Plants by Texas Discovery Garden's Randy Johnson.

Come learn about the "jungle" of living organisms, the ultimate recyclers
below the surface of the soil who turn organic matter into food. Learn
about the soil structure that is created and how that can have a profound
effect on the plants that you enjoy above the surface of the soil!
In addition, we will discuss the advantages of using Native and adapted
plant material.

Is your lawn
scorched? Are your garden beds a jungle?

Enter our first annual Ugly
Garden Contest. Take pictures of your front or back garden, print them
out and bring to NORTH HAVEN GARDENS by 5pm, August 26th. We'll choose 5
finalists and visit their homes to assess how bad their landscape
really is.

Winner (or loser) announced Friday, September 2nd. You must
be in our NHG Delivery zone to qualify. Details here.

All Finalists win a FREE in-store session with our NHG Garden Coach.
