This month we invite you to join us in pulling pesky privet, staining benches, watering, working in our pollinator gardens and picking up litter.

Please bring your favorite pruning or gardening tools, work gloves, or litter picker upper.

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and for working in a natural area (long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes, hat.

Water will be provided.

O.S. Gray Natural Area has no restroom facilities, but Kroger is near by.

We encourage everyone to adhere to safety guidelines - observe social distancing, wear a mask if you can't maintain distancing, please stay home if you are not feeling well.

GreenSpace Dallas: LB Houston Trash Fence Install Part 2 - Dallas

This Saturday we will be continuing the install of a wire fence along California Crossing Road. This is intended to prevent trash from entering LB Houston's lake. Meet at the LB Houston California Crossing Trailhead.

Moderate trail @ 4.5 mile trail takes an average of 1.5 hours. (Closer to 2 hours with a larger group and for time to take photos.)

Presenter: Randy Boys, Strategy & Technology Manager, Oncor Electric Delivery

About Presentation: Recasting his recent Texas Parks & Wildlife Master Naturalist term project, Randy will take a look at humans as energy consumers in our Texas ecosystem, both today and per base case predictions of climate change for North Texas as stated by the Texas state climatologist, focusing on that bicentennial year. The briefing will emphasize potential impacts on generation sources, the grid and related industries.

About Presenter: Randy, currently Strategy and Technology Manager at Oncor Electric Delivery, is a systems engineer with 40 years of electronics and human/machine interface R&D experience, and 5 years in health sciences R&D. Randy’s interests in environmental stewardship align well with some "ancillary" assignments within Oncor, such as leading engagements with EarthX, Dallas College’s Sustainability Office, and other Oncor "Grid Edge" public forums.
