When Dallas Sierra Club member Molly Rooke was nominated for Green Source DFW’s Volunteer of Year, her peer noted: “Molly should be nominated for environmental sainthood.”

Rooke has been a Dallas Sierra Club member for more than 25 years, but that is not where her environmental interests end since over the years she has had her hands in everything from recycling to fracking.

Oak Cliff Earth Day 2013 was an eco-friendly success according to the people attending the event on Sunday, April 21. The sun shone, the vendors were upbeat and the crowds turned out for Earth Day Dallas at Fair Park this weekend. While we heard some complaints about greenwashing, overall there was lots of green energy.

A great group of greenies turned out for Green Source DFW’s pre-Earth Day mixer on Thursday, April 18. Business connections and new friends were made during the gathering at The People’s Last Stand in Dallas.
