Della Barbato is NPAT’s Director of Education at Lawther – Deer Park Prairie Preserve. Della has developed an educational program that includes student activities, training teachers to teach the prairie and facilitate a partnership with local school districts, businesses and other NGO’s in the Greater Houston Area. She also developed grassland biome curriculum that includes demonstration trunks and activities to be taken to local schools for presentation in classes. Her goal is to educate and motivate audiences to nurture a connection to their environment and community.
