Explore Fort Worth Prairie habitat at U.S. Army Corps of Engineer property at Benbrook Lake.

Suggested donation of $5 per person or whatever amount you wish to contribute to Native Prairies Association of Texas.

Join us on this trip to a prime example of the Fort Worth Prairie. This prairie ecosystem is vanishing under rapid development pressure in Tarrant and surrounding counties. Luckily, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers protects upland Fort Worth Prairie overlooking the shoreline of Benbrook Lake. Native wildflowers should be starting to bloom by mid April.

Meet at 9 a.m. at the 2nd (southern) gravel parking lot. Bring sturdy, comfortable shoes or boots for a walk around a good example of a Fort Worth Prairie remnant.

Reservations are required through Eventbrite.
