Our Health Impacts Team will host mothers from Texas who have been fighting the fossil fuel industry. These mothers used information about the health impacts on their children and community to convince their City Council to oppose the expansion of fracked gas.

This is a unique opportunity to learn how moms organized in their community and put children's health at the forefront of their fight.

Our guests:

    •    Ranjana Bhandari, an economist and the founder of the environmental advocacy group Liveable Arlington, who spearheaded this effort

    •    Dr. Anne Epstein, a physician who worked with Liveable Arlington to advocate for children’s health and safety

    •    Wanda Vincent, founder and director of Mother's Heart Learning Center

    •    Maria Robles, an organizer with the Social Justice Committee for St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Join us as we celebrate and learn how these two women worked with their community to highlight the intersectionality between climate, health, and environmental justice to stop the expansion of fracked gas.

Zoom information will be shared via email to those who RSVP the day of the event.
