Are you ready for more networking and meeting other eco-leaders? We
will have the honor of introducing Salah Boukadoum, the founder of Soap
Hope, a social entrepreneur. His company gives back 100 percent of its
profits back to society.
When:
Typically second Wednesday of every month, but it is announced via our
monthly email and might vary. In August, we are meeting on August 10, Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Where: Hotel Aloft Downtown Dallas (1033 Young Street, Dallas, TX 75202).
We strive to have our gatherings at locally owned establishments and
really love to support local bars/restaurants/hotels that recycle. Our
past venues and supporters include The Belmont Hotel, Cafe Rembrandt, Blue Mesa, Bolsa, Cuba Libre, The Londoner Pub, Campania Pizza, Kozy Kitchen, Trinity Hall Irish Pub, Vapiano's, Social Bar at the eco-friendly Lumen Hotel, LaGrange, Alexan Design District Apartments, Element by Westin, Aloft.
What:
Greendrinks is an informal and lively opportunity to tap into Dallas’s
sustainability hub—a place to wind down after work, hear an enriching
but brief presentation, play our fun green trivia game, and win some
great local-vendor prizes . This event, which is held once a month at a
different local venue, attracts an average of 80-90 people and features a
diverse and vibrant eco-concscious crowd. Dallas Greendrinks is part of
an international movement thriving in over 760 international cities.
More intellectually enriching than a pure networking event, Greendrinks
is the ideal balance of socializing and learning.
Who:
Eco-conscious folks, people interested in all things sustainable,
including green business practices, renewable energy, local/organic food
and beverages, green architecture, design and construction,
environmental issues and policy, innovative green financing/investing,
people trying to lower their eco-footprint or are in business of doing
so, earth-loving new agers, green thinkers, venture capitalists
looking for projects... all make great GreenDrinkers and GreenThinkers.
But skeptics and questioners are all welcome too; so join us for a
casual green chat and a brew (and bring some friends too). Gatherings
range from 80-90 people.
