Attend the Fort Worth City Council meeting to oppose Zoning Case ZC-22-065. This case is requesting rezoning of approximately 57 acres at 5125 Parker Henderson Road from agricultural to light industrial. Leon Capital is proposing to build two spec buildings that will house a logistical/warehousing company with over 100 heavy truck trailer bays.
The good news is the Zoning Commission denied the case with prejudice on July 13. In addition, the FWISD opposes the case due to its proximity to W.M. Green and its adverse effects to children.

The parcel is across David Strickland Road from W.M. Green Elementary School and is situated adjacent to two manufactured home communities. The Echo Heights and Stop Six neighborhoods are predominantly minority and low income communities that are already overburdened and disproportionately affected by industrial uses such as shipping and logistics companies, gas drilling, and waste services that cause excessive heavy truck traffic and air pollution.
