Meet in the parking lot. Gloves, insecticide and water are musts. Loppers would be helpful. Storms are SUPPOSED to hold off until 6 p.m. Be weatherwise.

We plan to close out a longterm effort to remove privet that borders an old ranch road that ran from the Bluff Overlook on Kennedale Mountain down to the North Prairie. Privet seemed to be drawn to like the old road. We’ll remove the last stands near the top this Saturday.

We’ll use rugged privet pulling levers loaned to us by our good friends at the Molly Hollar Wildscape. Those volunteers who’ve used them before will attest at how amazing they are at pulling the bushes up by the roots. We look forward to showing more folks the technique.

And there will be a bonus: a drink made from a species found at Sheri Capehart.
