The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding an Open House and Community Meeting to establish the Community Advisory Group (CAG) for the Lane Plating Works Inc. Superfund site. EPA believes it is useful for the communities surrounding the site to be involved in the decision-making process. During the meeting EPA will discuss the purpose of a CAG, announce members and provide a site update regarding Phase I sampling results.

The CAG offers a setting in which representatives of the local community can get up-to-date information about the status of cleanup activities, as well as discuss community concerns with the EPA. The CAG also interacts with state and local officials to discuss issues related to the Lane Plating site. CAG membership is voluntary with no financial compensation. The CAG will meet regularly to relay community views and concerns to EPA.

Prior to the community meeting, EPA will host an Open House with members of the CAG to answer any questions.
