Brittany Kryder, from The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, will share the history and challenges of preserving an ecological gem in the face of exploding urbanization.

Founded in 1967, the Heard consists of a 289 acre wildlife sanctuary and a natural science museum for the primary purpose of educating children about nature.
