Presenter: Dr. Kelly Albus is a Research Scientist with the University of North Texas’ Advanced Environmental Research Institute, a Fellow with the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment and Coordinator for the North Texas Environmental Citizen Science (NTECS) Hub.

Through a project supported by the National Geographic Society, faculty at the University of North Texas have been working with citizens across DFW to install low-cost particulate matter sensors in their homes and schools to get a better idea of air quality in our region. More than that, the PMAPS team is inviting students and teachers to join in the research, from data collection to generating and testing hypothesis to analyzing and sharing results through GIS and storymaps. This is their story.
