• Our area, Region C, has 25% of the Texas population and are the biggest users of water in the state.

• We use more water per person than any other region - far above the state average.

• DFW has the greatest potential to conserve water - yet our region has proposed more than $21 billion of $53 billion in statewide reservoir projects - including the controversial Marvin Nichols.

• DFW needs an environmental group who is dedicated specifically to water to help build the water conservation message and help get our water usage down.

• The drought we've just experienced proves the need for concentrated work on water issues.
