We are inviting local businesses to showcase their green products and practical do-it-yourself solutions for home improvement and maintenance.

They will be lined up on the festival streets surrounding Founder’s Plaza.

BVStx’s mission is to educate the public, particularly the African American community, on the benefits of a plant-based diet, to promote wellness and to influence the community to pursue a vegetarian lifestyle.

HOW COMMUNITREE CAME TO BE

Annual fundraiser to feature live music, local produce and dinner under the stars

 The Connemara Meadow Preserve will once again be filled
with food, fun and friends when the Connemara Conservancy Foundation hosts its
second annual Into The Meadow celebration on Oct. 1.

Tickets, which are $150 per person, are available at connemaraconservancy.org or
by calling (214) 351-0990. The event begins at 5 p.m. and benefits the Connemara
Conservancy, which currently protects more than 3,400 acres of land throughout North
Texas.

In just one year, Into The Meadow has become Connemara’s signature fundraising
event, celebrating locally produced food and the conservancy’s mission of preserving
and protecting open space throughout North Texas.

Once again the event will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Pecan Grove, live
music, a local vendor market place, an auction and the signature white tablecloth dinner
held under the stars in the Meadow Preserve and catered by Pecan Lodge Catering.

Our butterfly festival was so popular, we’re celebrating all insects in this second annual event. Enjoy crafts, bug displays, music, activities and more. Included with admission ($8/adults, $6/seniors 60+, and $4/children 3-11). Pay at door.

Filled with patriotic songs and heart-pounding marches from the FW Symphony Orchestra, exhilarating Independence Day celebration offering one of the best fireworks displays in the area. Lawn passes: $16/adult, free/kids 10 and under. Reserved tables: $11-43/person.

Performances nightly at 8pm.

Join Groundwork Dallas as we eat, drink and raise funds for the maintenance of hiking and biking trails, summer programs for kids, clean up the forest and river and to just get the word out about our great natural treasure, the Great Trinity Forest.
