For answers to these questions and others, join the Denton County Master Gardeners in a walk through the pollinator and native plant gardens at Doubletree Ranch Park in Highland Village. 

After the walk, learn how to make a butterfly puddler that to take home.

In this follow up one-day intensive workshop that builds on her earlier watercolor techniques class, instructor Samantha Peters will lead students of all skill levels through the process of completing a botanical watercolor painting. She'll cover plant observation and measurements, choosing and mixing colors and botanical grays and under paintings. GROW adult education classes are suitable for ages 14 and up.

Dubberley is the creative force behind Dubberley Landscape. She is a degreed Horticulturist, teacher, writer and speaker.  Carrie began life as an artist. With a green thumb and an eye for natural beauty, she received her Horticulture degree from Colorado State University in 1987. She has brought her talents together in Dubberley Landscape to artistically design beautiful, naturalistic landscape.

Speaker John Watts, Texas Discovery Garden entomologist, received a masters in entomology from the University of Florida where he specialized in insect husbandry. As a collector of insects, he took it upon himself to learn about plants and is an avid gardener both for food and wildlife, especially pollinators. His professional career started at the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Nature and Science. He spent 7 years at the Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center in Westminster, Colorado before settling in Dallas.
