Join the Collin County Master Gardeners for Edible Gardening 101. Master Gardeners will be presenting the following topics:

Wicking beds are a unique and increasingly popular way to grow vegetables. They are self-contained raised beds with built-in reservoirs that supply water from the bottom up - changing how, and how much, you water your beds. Wicking beds can often be pricey however, we will demonstrate how to build a wicking bed out of repurposed material.

The time to start planting your spring and early summer vegetable gardens is now! From starting tomato and pepper seeds indoors, to sewing carrots, beets and spinach in the ground outside, January and February are the months in which you can really get the jump on a healthy and productive spring garden.
