A documentary that tells the story of America’s addiction to oil, from its corporate conspiracy beginnings to its current monopoly today, and explains clearly and simply how we can end it – and finally win choice at the pump.

Goji Cafe is a vegan Asian cafe with a delicious all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet. The film is Soul Food Junkies. The film explores food traditions that are hard to change, especially when they're passed on from generation to generation. Baffled by his dad's unwillingness to change his traditional soul food diet in the face of a health crisis, filmmaker Byron Hurt sets out to learn more about this rich culinary tradition and its relevance to black cultural identity.

They’ll be showing and discussing a series of short films over a variety of topics, including recycling, waste and water. J.Black's will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the North Texas Emerging Professionals.

Presentations will cover topics that bluebirders, new and experienced, will find interesting and informative.

The locally produced movie focuses on the rally in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 17, 2013, where 50,000 people from around the country came in freezing weather and said NO to the Keystone XL pipeline. It includes footage on the Texas bus that traveled 34 hours to the rally, along with exclusive footage and interviews with residents affected by the devastating oil spill in Mayflower, Arkansas. Blockadia Rising: Voices of the Tar Sands Blockade is an hour-long documentary film written, edited and narrated by Garrett Graham, an active participant of the Tar Sands Blockade, a grassroots effort to stop the tar sands pipeline. Features exclusive video footage shot by the blockaders themselves during the course of more than six months of sustained resistance.

Tilikum is a 12,000lb orca involved in several deaths while in captivity. The documentary, directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, uses film footage and interviews with experts to illustrate their extraordinary nature, social structures and close family relations, which are disrupted by living in captivity.
