The 2nd largest Winter Solstice event in the nation is growing! Winter SolstiCelebration has expanded to two nights after sell-out crowds for the past 3 years. Now in its 19th year, it has become a major holiday tradition for North Texas.

Interfaith event uses music, dance, theater, poetry, and even magic and circus arts, along with ritual and ceremony, to observe Winter Solstice. Casual and interactive, fun yet profound. Service starts at 7 pm, Yule Fest in lobby before and after. Bring flashlight for light ceremony and food pantry donations. Deaf signed. Childcare for $5. Presented by Earth Rhythms.

The 2nd annual DFW Solar Home Tour is a part of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) National Solar Tour
. It offers the public the opportunity to tour innovative green homes
and buildings and learn how homeowners and businesses can use renewable
energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies.

Play "mad scientist" after hours at the Museum of Nature & Science! In a special evening, adults-only Beer & Bones event,
we'll celebrate the fun of science by playing with liquid nitrogen,
test the chair of nails, create circuits
out of PLAY-DOH, and see the amazing things that happen when you mix and
match soap with dry ice! Along with the grown-up science experiments,
guests can enjoy a DJ, light snacks, and a cash bar – plus special
performances of our popular live shows, Superhero
and Smash Hits of PhySci, - a cocktail of the best of our Electric Theater and Fire & Ice shows.
