Lights Out Texas: Fall Migration (Aug. 15 - Nov. 30)

​Lights Out Texas is a campaign to turn off lights at night between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. during spring and fall wildbird migrations to help protect nocturnally migrating birds.

Originally launched in 2017 by Houston Audubon, Lights Out Texas has grown statewide and is facilitated by Audubon Texas in collaboration with conservation non-profits, universities, governmental organizations and Texans dedicated to the conservation of birds.

The full fall migration starts Aug. 15 and ends on Nov. 30.
The peak fall migration is Sept. 6 through Oct. 29.

Liveable Arlington: Public Hearing to Grant Total Fracking Permit - Arlington

Total Energies has applied for a Special Use Permit(SUP) to drill and hydraulically fracture aka frack new wells to extract methane gas from their Highpoint site located at 2400 E. Arbrook Blvd. in Arlington

These are are a class of wells called allocation wells whose legality is being examined by the Supreme Court of Texas.

We will be posting more information as it becomes available.

Join Padillacs if you want to kayak or canoe for FREE while helping us pick up debris from the lake.
