Lights Out Texas organizers ask that residents, building managers and businesses turn off their outdoor lights from 11 p.m. till 6 a.m. from Aug. 15 to Nov. 30 to prevent bird deaths. Outdoor lighting distracts and confuses migrating birds who typically fly at night.
Peak fall migration season is Sept. 5 to Oct. 29.
Presenter: Dr. Sarah Schwartz, professor of geography at TCU.
Topic: Dr. Schwartz will discuss the environmental impact of tourism and how travelers might lessen it.

We encourage guests to arrive early, between 6:35-6:45 p.m., to partake of food prior to the start of the meeting but if you just want to attend the meeting, come at 7 p.m. for our presentation.
