Bill Byrom's residence is a high-performance zero-energy building combining solar energy, ground-source heat pump HVAC, a building envelope with a ventilated metal roofing system, ventilated wall system, motorized insulated interior shading system, app-controlled LED smart lighting, rainwater collection, and xeriscaping.
Presentations will start at 10 a.m., and be conducted as follows:
1. Bill Byrom - Discussion on performance of the solar power system in the first year of operation, rainwater collection system overview, electric vehicle ("EV") charging, Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV overview, and general information about his house.
2. Tony Robinson - Axis Design-Build - Overview of the house design and materials.
3. Sol-Ark - System inverter manufacturer and performance monitoring software.
4. Fortress Power - Battery Energy Storage System ("ESS". Lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 battery used in the house.
5. Wallbox - EV charger installed in the garage of Bill's house.
After the presentations, Bill and the other presenters will be available to answer questions.
