Fielder Museum: The Seashores of Ancient Arlington - Arlington (July 21 - Sept 28)

The Seashores of Ancient Arlington: A Rich Fossil Record exhibit will run daily from July 21 to the end of September and will feature fossil displays and special presentations on Arlington's unique significance in Texas geology and paleontology.

Opening Day Reception: Sunday, July 21, at 2 p.m. Special presentation and fossil showing by Art Sahlstein, discoverer of the Arlington Archosaur Site.

The museum is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and other times by appointment. Admission is $5 for ages 12 and over. Free for children under 12.

Sisterhood Hikes: Coed Hike - Denison

You must purchase your park pass online immediately. This park sells out for Saturdays. If they are sold out, you will not get in.

Once you enter the park, drive straight ahead, keep going to the road ends. Park anywhere you find in this area. Once that parking area fills up, you will have to drive back and find a place to park and walk back.

Once you arrive, look for the hiking leaders wearing yellow hats

We will hike and then do lunch at a local restaurant. The Point 1711 Harbor Rd, Denison, TX 75020

If you choose not to go out to lunch, you are welcome to stay longer and enjoy the beach area.

If you choose to stay and enjoy the beach, you can bring your rafts and beach chairs. They do not allow kayaks or paddle boards.

Bring plenty of water!!!
