Texas Recycles Day is an annual event held by the City of Plano that allows residents to drive through, drop off and donate specific household items to our community and local nonprofit organizations. The donations collected benefit thousands of people as items are reused or recycled, keeping these items out of our landfill.
Please only bring items listed on the website and below. Items not listed will be turned away.
Accepted Items:
Arts and crafts supplies (accepted supplies: https://thistlecreativereuse.com/pages/donate-materials)
Bicycles: all conditions and sizes accepted
Electronics*: all electronics, anything that plugs in, batteries, wires and cables (accepted items: https://unitedelectronicrecycling.com/items-we-accept/)
Paper for Shredding (2 standard filing boxes of documents for free!)
Pet Supplies (bath towels, pet toys and accessories)
Sports Equipment (No treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, snow sports or water sports equipment)
Eyeglasses, Hearing Aids and Cell Phones
*Electronics Event Disposal Fees (cash or check):
Printers, fax machines and copiers - $5/item
CRT monitors - $10/item
Televisions - $25/item
UER cannot accept TVs, LCD or CRT monitors with broken screens
On-site hard drive shredding - $20/item
