The 15-acre Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park is open daily for self-guided tours from sunrise until sunset 365 days a year. Pets are welcome. Embark on either a self-guided or group tour through the beautiful and sustainable park, building and grounds.

Guided tours will be available for free every Saturday at 10 a.m. starting Sept. 30 through Nov. 18. Weather permitting.

Tours begin in the Freedom Plaza by the fountain.

​Rock Creek Ranch Park is a new 300-acre City of Fort Worth park that is not yet open to the public.

Jeff Quayle, a field trip leader for the Fort Worth Chapter of Native Prairies Association of Texas, will lead a bioblitz to help the Park and Recreation Department gain a better understanding of the biodiversity at the park. Participants will be focusing on collecting valuable data for natural resource management using iNaturalist observations.

Presenters Carolyn Oldham and Jerri Kerr are long-time birding friends and active members of the Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society in Collin County. 

They have traveled extensively in the US to observe birds and hopefully add new ones to their life-lists. They are dedicated wildlife gardeners and have plants and feeders to attract birds, butterflies, bees and other pollinators.
