Lights Out: Safer Skies for Migrating Birds- LIVE Meeting with Dr. Tania Homanyoun.

Cooler months are coming, and billions of birds are too.  They're flying south on migration to their winter homes.  rtificial light at night creates serious challenges to migrating birds, increasing their risk of collision with buildings and glass, a significant cause of death to native birds in the United States. Dr. Homayoun will share fascinating information about bird migration and biological/design factors associated with artificial light at night and bird-building collisions.

Learn how you can take action in your home and community to make our skies safer for migrating birds helping to prevent bird/window collisions. We'll have door prizes to give out that include window collision tape donated by our friends at Feather Friends (https://www.featherfriendly.com).  We'll also have FWAS T-shirts and hats to sell.
