She finished her doctorate at Kansas State University in 2020. Dr. Aulicky has already been rapidly applying her skills to build relationships with landowners and partner agencies throughout North Texas, organize and lead workshops, monitor the health of NPAT properties, conduct prairie education in the field, create video resources for us, write grants, and plan the expansion of our services. Dallas Sierra Club: Medical Entomologist - Zoom

Leigh-Anne Lawton will talk about insects or arthropods that we may encounter outdoors this season in Texas.  She is the regional medical entomologist for the Texas department of state health services.  Studying at Texas A&M, Stephen F. Austin State University, and LSU in the field of entomology prepared Leigh-Anne to spend the majority of her life outside. She spent the last ten years in Papua, New Guinea, working to train individuals on how to protect themselves and others against malaria and other vector-borne diseases.

From 6:45 to 7 p.m. you can log in to the meeting, chat, and ask questions. The meeting will begin at 7 with announcements, followed by speaker's presentation.
