Please participate and represent our community. We will post more information on how this impacts us all soon.

The listening sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. CDT over three days. Each day will focus on different stakeholder groups; however, you may register to speak on *any day*.

City of Dallas: Environmental Justice and Community Air Monitoring - Zoom

Jun 17 2021 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Zoom TX

This special program looks at the important topic of how to bring fair treatment and meaningful involvement regarding environmental matters to all residents of Dallas regardless of where they live or their circumstances.

Within Dallas’ vast metropolitan area, many factors impact air quality not the least of which are the growing population and the burgeoning need for employment and transportation. What happens to the air? What happens to any remnant of our natural resources within this dynamic landscape? Jonna Polk, Director, Office of Communities, Tribes, and Environmental Assessment, EPA Region 6; joins us to speak on these topics.

Dr. Kathy Jack, Dallas healthy cities program director at The Nature Conservancy in Texas works on this balance as well. She oversees environmental technology, conservation and community health. And one of the programs she manages is Breathe Easy Dallas. It is designed in response to Environmental Justice concerns in our city.
