With the theme “America the Beautiful,” the spring festival showcases an explosion of color from 100 varieties of spring bulbs and more than 500,000 spring-blooming blossoms, thousands of azaleas and hundreds of Japanese cherry trees. Each week, Dallas Blooms focuses on one of the six regions in the United States with food, music, flowers and activities. The festival includes special events, live music on the weekends and children’s activities.

$12-$17. Reservations required. Face masks required for ages 5 and up.

Texas Native Cats: The North Texas Mountain Lion - Online

Chris Jackson, DFW Urban Wildlife, presents a brief discussion of the current status of Mountain Lions in North Texas as informed by investigations and trail camera studies conducted over the course of the past 15 years. In his talk he touches on the mystique of the big cats and the psychology behind people’s fascination with them. Chris includes sighting evaluation techniques and examples of how misidentifications occur. Six investigation case studies are included. Finally, he closes with an overview of the 2020 North Texas Mountain Lion sightings, concisely sharing all of the information about this once-in-a-lifetime event that he has been able to collect.
