the City of Dallas working with The Texas Trees Foundation and Davey Resource Group, Inc. has kicked-off off the development of the City of Dallas’ first Urban Forest Master Plan. The Plan will serve as a road map for the City of Dallas, providing detailed information, recommendations and resources needed to proactively manage and grow the city’s tree canopy. It will provide a shared vision for the future of the urban forest to help inspire us to care, plant and protect our trees here in Dallas.
Throughout the Urban Forest Master Plan development process there will be opportunities for the community and stakeholders to learn about Dallas’ urban forest and to share ideas, thoughts and input on improving it. We hope you will participate in these opportunities — as your input is essential to building a sustainable and resilient urban forest in Dallas!
The goal is to unveil the Urban Forest Master Plan around Earth Day 2020.

Join us for a climate protest to bring awareness to the citizens of Fort Worth and Tarrant County about climate change and to demand action by our government. Repeats every Saturday.
This scholarship recognizes the achievements of high school seniors who have taken a leadership role to prevent litter in their schools and/or communities. Any Texas high school senior currently attending public, private or home school, and planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited college or university next year, is eligible to apply.
Keep Texas Beautiful and the Texas Department of Transportation invite Texas students in kindergarten through 12th grade to submit their best litter prevention-inspired artwork to be considered for the Don’t mess with Texas Calendar. Students with the top 14 designs will have their work featured in the calendar.
Each winner will also receive:
• Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" tablet
• Gift basket with Buc-ee's merchandise
• Their artwork framed and returned
• Opportunity to have their artwork shared on Don’t mess with Texas and Keep Texas Beautiful websites and social media
• Teachers representing students who produce the top 14 designs will win a $100 H-E-B/Central Market gift card.
The contest is open to students in grades K-12. Submissions are due April 24.

Join Earth Native for a weekend of land navigation that will give you the tools that you need to navigate any landscape successfully using map and compass and natural navigation methods.
The first day of class will be focused on map reading, using a compass with a map and natural navigation methods. On the second day, students will get to test out their new skills navigating through a land navigation course.

This event will include free seeds in the form of seed balls or regular seeds you plant into the ground.
