We're gearing up to host Oak Cliff Earth Day and early booth registration is now open.

The grassroots green festival was launched in 2007 by local volunteers who wanted to educate the community on eco-friendly living. After a 10-year-run, organizers took a hiatus in 2017. Not wanting to see the popular community event end, GreenSourceDFW.org and the Memnosyne Institute, its parent nonprofit and longtime festival sponsor, took over as host in 2018.

As in previous years, Oak Cliff Earth Day will feature a diverse line-up of entertainment, environmental education booths and green vendors along with food and fun for the kids.

Entertainment highlights include performances by Bandan Koro, a Dallas-based African drum and dance ensemble, and the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts' Roots Jazz group.

Vendor space is $60 if you register on or before April 1. Nonprofits can register for $35 by April 1. There is a $20 increase for registration after April 1. All food vendors must contact ocedvendor@gmail.com for more information. Dallas County and city groups can register at no charge. Register a booth.

In addition, sponsorships are still available starting at $100. This is a great way to get your name in front of green-minded folks in North Texas. You're also supporting GSDFW’s mission to promote green living, eco-friendly businesses, environmental conservation and awareness of environmental issues in North Texas. Be a sponsor.

For more information about vendor space, contact Lenora at ocedvendor@gmail.com. For information about sponsorship, contact, Wendel Withrow at 214-287-1046 or Wendel@GreenSourceDFW.org. See OakCliffEarthDay.com for more info.
