After a two-year hiatus, organizers are gearing up to host the 13th annual Oak Cliff Earth Day on April 3, 2022 from noon to 5 p.m. at Lake Cliff Park in Dallas.

The grassroots green festival was launched in 2007 by local volunteers who wanted to educate the community on eco-friendly living. In 2018, GreenSourceDFW.org and the Memnosyne Institute, its parent nonprofit and a longtime festival sponsor, took over as host.

During the Covid pandemic, the event was not held in 2020 or 2021. But it's returning this year, barring any unforeseen developments with CDC restrictions.

As in previous years, Oak Cliff Earth Day will feature a diverse line-up of entertainment, environmental education booths and green vendors along with food and fun for the kids.

As a special feature this year, Oak Cliff Earth Day will promote the message: “Environmental Justice for All” with a slate of speakers on the topic.

“We’ll have great speakers from the DFW area who have been on the front lines against polluters who want to foul our backyard instead of theirs,” said Green Source DFW director Wendel Withrow.

Vendor space is $55 on or before March 7. Nonprofits can register for $30 and Dallas County and city groups can register at no charge. Food vendors pay $75. There is a $10 increase for registration after March 7.

In addition, sponsorships are still available starting at $100. This is a great way to get your name in front of green-minded folks in North Texas. You're also supporting our mission to promote green living, eco-friendly businesses, environmental conservation and awareness of environmental issues in North Texas.
