Leaders from a variety of community environmental organizations and student clubs will be on hand to share their expertise, commitment and enthusiasm as a way of inspiring greater awareness and action on current health and environmental issues.
The event will include games, prizes, free dental, hearing, spinal and HIV screenings. Participants are also welcome to explore interactive exhibits providing information and education on topics such as nutrition, bone marrow registries, pregnancy testing, drug and alcohol awareness, domestic violence, and men’s and women’s fitness.
Attendees can learn how to cook tasteful but healthy meals by attending the American Heart Association’s live cooking demonstration, Simple Cooking with HeartTM. Only the first 50 people to register will be allowed to attend this free demonstration, which will run 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
