Sun, 05/20/2012 - 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Museum of Nature & Science - Science Building
1318 S 2nd Ave
Dallas , TX 75210

Shark Stewards Texas' student campaign organizer (and high-school junior) Kayla Ellis will be speaking about diving with sharks at the Museum of Nature and Science on Sunday, May 20th.  Bring the family!  It's from 1:00-3:00 PM (Kayla will speak at 2:00).  Click here for details: http://dallasmuseumnatureandscience.org/sharks/ai1ec_event/sharky-sunday-exhibitor-tbd-3/?instance_id=442

This is a timely talk as sharks should be more visible in Texas in the months to come.  Our organization is trying to get support for a ban on shark finning, which passed with bipartisan support in California, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii - and is being fast-tracked in Illinois as I type this.  Already approved by the Illinois House and Senate, the bill is awaiting the Governor's signature to become a law.  We think Texas can be the next state to speak up for sharks, and the sustainability of our seas!
