The Downtown Arlington Farmer’s Market is a community-oriented market focusing on Texas provided foods, arts, crafts, services and wares. We are located at 215 Front Street Arlington, Texas 76011 and we open every Friday and Saturday from 8AM to 1PM.
The goal of the market is to provide a venue for local vendors to offer Arlington, Texas residents an opportunity to buy the freshest meat, produce, breads and other great foods, crafts and products available.

White Rock Local Market is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farmers market where local farmers, ranchers, and artisans sell directly to our East Dallas neighborhood. White Rock Local Market is a meeting place for residents to buy fresh, local and healthy foods, and quality arts and crafts.
WRLM is held twice a month – the second and fourth Saturday – at The Green Spot Market and Fuels. Second Saturdays are Everything Markets and feature farmers, food artisans and arts and crafts. Fourth Saturdays are Just Farmers - farmers, producers, and food artisans.
White Rock Local Market has several community programs: a Lone Star food stamp program at the market, workshops, school field trips, and an after school entrepreneurial program.
Vendors include organic growers Farmer Jones Plants and Produce, Texas Worm Ranch, Good Earth Organics and Kitchen Pride Mushrooms. Later in the spring, we will be joined by Rae Lilli Farm, Sachse Heritage Farms, Larken Farms and Lightsey Farms. Juha Ranch returns with grass fed beef, chicken, lamb, pork and eggs; Homestead Heritage will be there with their wide variety of meats and cheeses. Eagle Mountain Cheese, Grapevine Grains, The Tamale Company, Lucido's Pasta, and Texas Olive Ranch. Empire Baking and Village Baking Company will be there, along with Tough Cookie Vegan Bakery and newcomers The Bread Crumb and EMA Baking. Corked in Texas will bring wines from Lone Oak Winery in Burleson, including the 2010 Texas Viognier, which won double gold at the prestigious San Francisco Wine Competition.

The market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon from mid-April to mid-September with a special Thanksgiving market in November. Fort Worth’s original, producer only farmers market. Wondering what “producer only” means? It means that everything sold is either grown, raised or produced within 150 miles of Fort Worth. In short, it’s the easiest way to go green while getting your greens.
Cowtown Farmers Market is open every Saturday, 8 am til noon–rain, sleet, snow, or shine. Market is open Wednesdays, 8 a.m. until noon, June – November.

Event hosted by the Arlington Conservation Council. Renowned Texas Master Naturalist Jim Varnum will lead a one-hour plant walk. His walks are always very interesting, educational and informative.
Following the plant walk, City Councilwoman Lana Wolff will draw the winning ticket in ACC's Rangers Ballpark Suite fund raiser. Tickets are available for $20 each.
After the drawing, volunteers will be watering, weeding and cleaning up in the park.
This day-long photo safari with an afternoon workshop led by staff photographer Cathy Burkey and featuring Tom Maddrey of Eclipse Photography Institute will concentrate on various aspects of nature and animal photography. Call 469.554.7423 for more information or to make reservations.

This monthly cleanup event is hosted by For the Love of Lake. Meet at the For the Love of the Lake office in Casa Linda Plaza at 8 a.m., where you can collect your supplies. Before heading out, you'll be treated to Starbucks coffee, delicious orange juice and rich chocolate milk from Oak Farms Dairy, delicious goodies provided by Another Broken Egg Cafe, other breakfast treats and plenty of refreshing Rain Fresh bottled water. Supplies are provided, including trash bags, recycling bags (courtesy of the city of Dallas Recycling Department), reach-it tools and gloves.

Volunteer with the Texas Land Conservancy as it battles the invasive plant species at the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve. The organization is preparing for a renovation project that will ensure everyone has access to the beauty of this preserve.

Bat World Sanctuary is pleased to partner with the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) in presenting a full-day continuing education symposium on August 11, 2012, for naturalists, agricultural agents, ranchers, zoologists, speleologists, natural resource managers, wildlife biologists, and others who are interested in learning more about bats. This informative and engaging program offers attendees a wealth of information about bats and the environment, how we benefit from bats, and what we can do to help protect these unique animals. The program includes a live animal presentation/lecture, discussion, and interactive activities as participants explore the fascinating world of bats. North Texas Renewable Energy Group presents "Water - The New Oil."
Water is always being compared to oil but should it? Our August program will take a look at the difference between water and oil issues, discuss the future of water in North Texas, what future strategies water providers are studying to meet the future water needs of a fast growing population, what water costs compared to oil, and what water conservation practices each person can adopt in their home, office and landscape.
Presenter is Dotty Woodson, Ph.D., Water Resource Specialist, Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center.

There are many beautiful trees, wildflowers and grasses growing on the BRIT landscape. BRIT botanists and naturalists will share information about these plants and why they are here. To beat the heat, the program is held indoors and outdoors. Held the second Saturday of the month.

Feed Your Head in Arlington has a drum circle every 2nd Saturday of the month. There are fire spinners, belly dancers and lots of fun. All ages are welcome. We also have guest artist that perform prior to the drum circle.
