Open House + Astronomy Walk - Allen
Sun, 06/24/2012 - 1:00pm - 11:00pm
Connemara Meadow Preserve
300 Tatum Rd
Allen, TX
United States

Open House
When: Sun, June 24, 1pm – 6pm

Where: Alma and Tatum Rd, Allen, TX (Meadow Preserve Parking Lot Public Gate) (map)
Description: NOTE THE SUMMER TIME CHANGE =========================== Open House at the Meadow - join us anytime this afternoon to wander (and wonder) at the Meadow by hiking the trails, watching the flora and fauna and enjoying being somewhere pretty much away from the hustle and bustle of Texas suburbia. Enter at Wooded Gate on East side of Alma, south of Bethany.

Astronomy Walk
Sun, June 24, 9pm – 11pm
Where: Suncreek Drive and Alma, Allen, TX (almost - see the map on the website) (map)

Description: Join Clyde Camp for an Astronomy walk on the Sunday nearest the New Moon from 9-11pm. This is generally the same Sunday that Connemara has its Open House but check this calendar to make sure of the correct date. That's right, these are night walks - can't see the stars during the day! We'll meet at the Suncreek Park circular parking lot at 9pm sharp and then walk to the Meadow the back way.

Click here for complete details.  This is probably an inappropriate walk for young children.
